The freedom of speech and to protest are basic human rights protected by the Constitution for American citizens; but its powers does NOT expand beyond our borders or will be tolerated in other countries. People around the world are executed for simply speaking out or protesting their government.
NFL players and others have the right to kneel during the National Anthem, but I pray that they will soon realize that doing this is a slap in the face of soldiers suffering horrible lifelong wounds or killed overseas so they can have the freedom to protest without fear of execution. Our troops fight tirelessly and commit the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms.
America is not perfect, but it is the greatest country on earth and the best place for anyone regardless of race, creed, color, sexual orientation or religion that works hard at life a chance to achieve the American Dream of success. We can all do better at addressing social injustice while STANDING and RESPECTING our flag, anthem and country.
My youngest son and thousands of brave men and women proudly protect this country because they love it and want to serve others even folks that do not appreciate their sacrifice. This is why I STAND for the flag and the national anthem to honor these real heroes. Please enjoy the video attached of my son graduating from Army Basic Training and making me, his family, country and Heavenly Father PROUD!
