FAN QUESTION OF THE WEEK: Do you STOP being a Christian after a divorce?

"YG, I was caught off guard when you and Toby divorced last year. I enjoyed watching your love inspire others on FB for 7 years. I'm glad you are still friends but do you think the divorce hurts your messages of hope? Lots of Christians look down on divorced people and push us away. How have you dealt with this obstacle? Thank you for all you do and I love your work!" Another great question here. The divorce hurt us both but we are passionate about keeping a good relationship because our work as parents to 7 adult children will never end lol. As for the messages; some may not like me anymore due to the divorce and that's ok. I now have more time to focus on lessening my imperfections so I ca

FAN QUESTION OF THE WEEK: Is it hypocritical for imperfect people to preach about God?

"YG, why do you talk about God so much when you publicly admit your imperfections? Don't you think it's hypocritical to talk about a perfect supreme being when you yourself are far from it? I love the things that you say but I just want to know." This is a great question and I do not think that it is hypocritical to acknowledge that I need God in my life because I have screwed up a lot in my past. Openly admitting that I need Christ to heal my brokenness and to move forward in life is vital to conquer my darkness. I've never been perfect and never will be. I pray diligently daily that I make it into heaven when I die. I just simply want people to know that if Christ can work with me, He can

MLK: THE IMPERFECT MAN WITH A PERFECT DREAM

Today is MLK Day and millions of Americans are enjoying this national holiday and spending some much needed time with family. Some in the media are demanding that citizens need to reflect on the powerful larger than life figure this day is named after. Martin Luther King Jr was indeed a man ahead of his time during a period in the not so distant past when America was struggling to embrace equality for all souls and free itself from hateful bigotry. There are plenty of resources to inform you of all of Mr. King’s accomplishments, but I want to dig deeper and discuss why a man with plenty of imperfections was the perfect messenger with the perfect dream. What I’m about to say may be considered
